<r t="9.54">alright see so</r>
<r t="12.05">hello everybody</r>
<r t="13.66">thanks for being here can everybody hear me directly in the back and in that</r>
<r t="17.78">side yes</r>
<r t="19.55">but</r>
<r t="21.33">so if you hear in this room you probably already know what it is it's</r>
<r t="26.16">a video editor resonant typhus and made of also</r>
<r t="29.83">it's cheese weaponry includes such elements as a huge file formats but it see you</r>
<r t="36.61">can pretty much throw anything in to the T V like</r>
<r t="39.92">you could we makes windows media video files with your cameras quicktime files and you're</r>
<r t="45.12">used videos</r>
<r t="46.67">it has the best of breed you are design it's very user centric it values</r>
<r t="52.38">efficiency and</r>
<r t="55.11">it's designed in collaboration with filmmakers and if this experts</r>
<r t="59.7">in a rather well so and</r>
<r t="63.5">it's also an avid it's or that aims to not have</r>
<r t="67.12">this notion of market segmentation that you see in the proprietary well where in the</r>
<r t="72.77">propriety world you would see well we're making this low and videos it is or</r>
<r t="78.58">less meat super simple with limited features and the super high in super complicated thing</r>
<r t="84.08">with five hundred how options in the preference dialogue just so that it looks professional</r>
<r t="89.18">and we're gonna price differently and this features more interest act and we don't have</r>
<r t="95.21">that here</r>
<r t="97.28">so</r>
<r t="100.81">i want to spend a few minutes to actually talk about the mission the vision</r>
<r t="104.83">we see why we're working on it why it matters</r>
<r t="109.23">because i haven't done that very often</r>
<r t="113.53">i was based i sat down and i started thinking about this after all these</r>
<r t="119.46">years of being involved in one way or another</r>
<r t="123.04">with this that project there ought to be a powerful reason</r>
<r t="127.67">why and other contributors are stuck around and continue pushing things forward</r>
<r t="135.09">of course everybody starts by scratching an image so i and i remember how in</r>
<r t="139.69">two thousand five</r>
<r t="141.88">i want just wanted a replacement for big S</r>
<r t="144.65">and i thought well this projects really cool it's open source so we don't need</r>
<r t="149.1">six months right</r>
<r t="151.96">so that's the reason you get involved in the beginning</r>
<r t="155.18">but then as time passes</r>
<r t="157.26">as you make friends to the project</r>
<r t="159.63">as you see people being enthusiastic about what you do and people putting trusting to</r>
<r t="164.79">you even this takes a review notes i mean you're fighting against impossible odds</r>
<r t="170.01">you need to find something more compelling to keep you motivated</r>
<r t="175.61">and here's what came to my mind</r>
<r t="179.73">the T V in pretty we believe in allowing everybody on the planet</r>
<r t="184.07">to express themselves through filmmaking</r>
<r t="186.79">we choose that they can own and improve</r>
<r t="190.37">unsurprising yet but that what segment on the website in a surprisingly</r>
<r t="194.68">recently it's you can to be assisting to means that wow that really resonates with</r>
<r t="199.01">me</r>
<r t="199.96">that's exactly my thoughts</r>
<r t="202.63">so okay at first and this might seem like a very</r>
<r t="206.57">draw insignificant state</r>
<r t="209.48">but now it's very powerful actually</r>
<r t="212.38">it gives you a goal in life to run these people around it</r>
<r t="216.1">and it's a very important facets of our goals</r>
<r t="220.43">like allowing everyone that touches upon them know market segmentation thing i mentioned earlier that</r>
<r t="227.22">means ground much as well as the kids in school doing short films or an</r>
<r t="232.06">activist recording public protests or and event independent professional filmmaker wants to be a master</r>
<r t="239.56">of for tools</r>
<r t="242.71">we want to capture to all those people</r>
<r t="246.68">and the notion of mastery brings a second element in that statement</r>
<r t="251.19">which is owning and improving the software it has to be open source</r>
<r t="256.45">it has to be easily tractable</r>
<r t="259.31">so it's disgusting partition</r>
<r t="262.17">of course made of also</r>
<r t="263.88">you have to clean code base</r>
<r t="265.85">and has a clear documentation around how to get involved in the project</r>
<r t="271.6">so how do we do all these things</r>
<r t="274.73">well that this means a couple of things</r>
<r t="277.43">this means the at the forefront of technologies the latest educated latest use your</r>
<r t="283.97">we have this upstream first approach which</r>
<r t="288.33">people in the just in the community and of to the right i mean see</r>
<r t="291.77">will probably be familiar with already it basically means no axe</r>
<r t="297.19">you discussed we actually such as opportunity streamer three P K and everything</r>
<r t="303.25">and you work out solutions in corporation with them and you don't put some stupid</r>
<r t="307.88">have in your application downstream</r>
<r t="311.11">in that a fixing the problem for everybody</r>
<r t="316.2">and you each your own that food of course so you and you talk with</r>
<r t="320.49">filmmakers i have to make a right to consider myself a filmmaker and go on</r>
<r t="326.5">with are rather we have</r>
<r t="328.99">and to T V also acts as a catalyst</r>
<r t="331.97">it's a torture test for G streamers so these guys we kind of like you're</r>
<r t="335.63">scared of me way ready and running a</r>
<r t="339.21">at chasing them down conferences</r>
<r t="343.06">so</r>
<r t="344.87">completing this mission is the property it's rather difficult</r>
<r t="350.36">technically speaking it's a very complex piece of software</r>
<r t="354.63">and to add some more difficulty well your users are typically not developers otherwise they're</r>
<r t="361.5">of every we are a there are your users are typically not developers and your</r>
<r t="365.59">developers are often not users</r>
<r t="368.47">or the ones that where users and became developers are not uses anymore sometimes a</r>
<r t="373.64">very interesting station</r>
<r t="375.44">and there is no sustainable business model around an open source we do it it's</r>
<r t="379.58">or because it's just too much of an each</r>
<r t="382.16">and you have too much competition from the provided video editors which are actually pretty</r>
<r t="387.35">good</r>
<r t="389.75">and that's just the surface of this thing if you're right interested in details of</r>
<r t="396.31">the economics of open source video editing software and everything i you can check out</r>
<r t="401.25">the presentations i gave that did like graphics meeting two thousand ninety two thousand eleven</r>
<r t="406.7">or maybe we can discuss those things and now something but that those presentations are</r>
<r t="411.81">actually on the P G website so they are easy to find</r>
<r t="415.43">and for this for the next the or for this a talk or the next</r>
<r t="421.55">lose you slightly i'll be focusing more on the technical side and a little a</r>
<r t="428.49">little bit of gonna mix</r>
<r t="431.29">i'll be mentioning what we've been doing for about one or two years you're doing</r>
<r t="435.82">now what will be doing next</r>
<r t="440.68">so in two thousand and ten</r>
<r t="445.05">G S came out</r>
<r t="446.82">it's a nice you guys very there is part of this tumour and allows you</r>
<r t="450.68">to create</r>
<r t="451.87">audio and video editing applications without requiring at the H T in astrophysics</r>
<r t="458.94">so it's meant to be a complete highly and high level solution and not just</r>
<r t="463.67">for everything but also playback and coding media discovery et cetera</r>
<r t="469.92">and it's basically the result of the years of experience in developing it's easy another</r>
<r t="474.73">applications in the despair world "'cause" you have seen on and but you know i</r>
<r t="480.67">mean it's nineties timing and dynamic pipelines and all that that's nearly not enough</r>
<r t="486.4">for you need you need far more than that to be able to make a</r>
<r t="491.46">real we do it at the</r>
<r t="494.1">so G S is nice a uses also uses very subgoal centric technologies like G</r>
<r t="499.82">to G object so it uses G T K dot still i think</r>
<r t="504.47">and it's fully introspective so you can use it in parts and you can use</r>
<r t="507.79">it in that in the other languages</r>
<r t="510.1">but fight and it's best of course</r>
<r t="513.54">and then in late two thousand ten so one year and something later and early</r>
<r t="519.75">two thousand twelve we decided in the P C project well</r>
<r t="523.41">it's time to switch to gas it would be a good thing to do because</r>
<r t="527.1">it doesn't make any sense to maintain your own if you think back and anymore</r>
<r t="531.69">and it would be stupid not to make a reference usable for other projects</r>
<r t="536.89">so at one last year</r>
<r t="539.95">this was a status report that we have on this was are tremendous that's is</r>
<r t="544.31">around E S</r>
<r t="545.86">you had the core features in the first group</r>
<r t="548.76">that were implemented</r>
<r t="550.4">and some features the second group that we're being worked on as power to the</r>
<r t="555.03">summer of code</r>
<r t="556.54">and the remaining features on the road map or left to the future</r>
<r t="561.02">and this does not include the features in an improvement simply T V itself that's</r>
<r t="565.42">pretty much just centric around the port to gas so i don't really have time</r>
<r t="570.38">to go over this in this presentation but if you're curious you can go to</r>
<r t="573.91">the T website</r>
<r t="575.42">there is a on the showcases a recording of my talk and what it two</r>
<r t="578.82">thousand twelve which turns out to be the only surviving record of what the two</r>
<r t="583.32">thousand twelve and it was it would be T V coincidence i think not</r>
<r t="591.04">and then in early two thousand well without okay the plan is we stay will</r>
<r t="595.91">actually a gas we try to get a release out of the door a sad</r>
<r t="601.59">before looking at working to just one or one point zero because i just run</r>
<r t="606.75">point there is not yet ready you know we weren't sure</r>
<r t="610.38">but then assess you once we were in a situation where</r>
<r t="613.75">well nobody was looking at system is over that's anymore</r>
<r t="618.04">and were quite behind already the are initial schedule so at this point in time</r>
<r t="622.84">to make incense</r>
<r t="624.33">to keep going with zero that ten</r>
<r t="627.15">and to get any amount of support we needed to use just or one point</r>
<r t="631.95">zero</r>
<r t="633.68">well other than that</r>
<r t="636.08">we didn't foresee a huge amount of work left to be</r>
<r t="640.25">able to make a newbie to release</r>
<r t="644.7">the biggest obstacles we predicted</r>
<r t="648.06">where that we would have to switch to discover one point zero and you take</r>
<r t="651.77">a three and you to construct spectrum all at once</r>
<r t="656.35">because of the complex tonight's topic sixteen this picture</r>
<r t="660.82">and</r>
<r t="662.85">so</r>
<r t="664.19">not such a big deal</r>
<r t="667.5">yes</r>
<r t="668.64">and then</r>
<r t="670.75">okay</r>
<r t="671.92">and system of one point zero and one of so will be here</r>
<r t="676.86">and i'll see all those little a you know like with the</r>
<r t="680.74">you know if we just take care of those where we're done right but that's</r>
<r t="685.87">really vote</r>
<r t="687.52">is a hard thing you</r>
<r t="690.57">i'm sorry</r>
<r t="692.1">a violent</r>
<r t="693.22">this however</r>
<r t="697.73">this one point zero</r>
<r t="708.85">wait what going off like</r>
<r t="713.85">i think that's</r>
<r t="715.33">but exact holes</r>
<r t="717.28">over the</r>
<r t="722.54">really that is gonna take care of this time</r>
<r t="727.14">my i think she it is</r>
<r t="731.68">all this work</r>
<r t="735.07">there is a stuff can in the just replace plug-ins</r>
<r t="741.1">it's not a summary of what has happened the last few months</r>
<r t="752.45">and that's here we are when you're to what it two thousand well with that</r>
<r t="756.02">bunch of new regressions that have been fixed and well and you features implemented and</r>
<r t="762.24">at time of worked on two dates use your</r>
<r t="767.07">and contrary to the last year this light only talks about the president's</r>
<r t="771.9">the first list of items are what's don and either all features that we're reimplemented</r>
<r t="778.04">usually much better than before or new features</r>
<r t="782.02">and the lower the last is the buttons that we items or stuff that we're</r>
<r t="788.98">still working on this summer</r>
<r t="792.87">so let's look at the future what are we doing right now what's</r>
<r t="798.69">in the compare</r>
<r t="800.21">well i have always have a bunch of plants based on my own intuition and</r>
<r t="805.87">my experience as a filmmaker once in a while is good to take a good</r>
<r t="811.09">hard look at yourself and we evaluate the priorities and ask your user days what's</r>
<r t="817.45">the most urgent and important then</r>
<r t="821.5">so we recently made this survey asking well what the users want because it's you</r>
<r t="827.34">know all about users</r>
<r t="831.28">so we have a sample of that thousand three hundred and eighteen people when certain</r>
<r t="836.02">these survey</r>
<r t="837.9">the source the internet's</r>
<r t="840.49">so i don't know trying to be T V social networks</r>
<r t="843.99">likeable close all my god we want to thanks mate i have to say thanks</r>
<r t="850.37">to joyce a then there is always a nice a nice to</r>
<r t="854.84">help</r>
<r t="856.73">because the allowed us to get a lot more coverage from different from a different</r>
<r t="860.37">audience than</r>
<r t="861.88">if it was just from planet the home or</r>
<r t="865">did you fans</r>
<r t="867.11">so we have a sample that is a lot more representative of the population at</r>
<r t="872.69">large sets is to be statistically speaking</r>
<r t="876.2">some pretty confident in these results</r>
<r t="879.16">for once</r>
<r t="881.88">you may think that a sample size of a on a little bit over a</r>
<r t="885.58">thousand users is not that much</r>
<r t="888.88">actually i that's something you can find out from my talk that L G M</r>
<r t="893.8">it's pretty close to the size of the population of people who do video editing</r>
<r t="899.04">on the next</r>
<r t="901.28">because you have like you could to estimate to the amount of people are using</r>
<r t="906.24">and actually this are one percent of people in general do you anything and then</r>
<r t="911.12">one percent of four percent of one percent or something you end up with not</r>
<r t="915.41">many people</r>
<r t="917.08">so it's pretty close to the population size</r>
<r t="921.04">and so before we and the lies to results let's take a closer look at</r>
<r t="924.83">the sample</r>
<r t="929.28">i don't know why i said that the is just</r>
<r t="934.44">we have a</r>
<r t="935.89">i a good portion of people who actually strike a T V or arctic to</r>
<r t="939.96">be users</r>
<r t="941.33">but we also have a bunch of new people that's a never heard of it</r>
<r t="946.02">and some people who</r>
<r t="947.65">just like other software and that's fine it's interesting</r>
<r t="951.75">because this the surveys not just use for us it's also useful for whoever is</r>
<r t="956.39">interested in that we do it it's or the point so as to do it</r>
<r t="958.88">it's a nice</r>
<r t="962.29">we that could very sample which mostly follows and all normal colour sure</r>
<r t="968.69">so i have a question in the survey that says how do you rate from</r>
<r t="973.19">the scale from one to ten how familiar you are would video editing are your</r>
<r t="977.7">professional or you be so we have a bunch of newbies on the lead well</r>
<r t="982.7">it's not just like a bunch of newbies and a bunch of professionals that we</r>
<r t="985.85">have a nice</r>
<r t="987.18">normal curve</r>
<r t="990.59">this can work things up a little bit in the next chart because you like</r>
<r t="993.63">mixing professionals with normal people</r>
<r t="997.27">but that's okay because we need to we want to capture to everybody and remember</r>
<r t="1003.38">market segmentation is a construct of the mind</r>
<r t="1008.59">rather unsurprising result here</r>
<r t="1011.47">mostly nobody cares about able to platform</r>
<r t="1014.46">or these nobody in our sample</r>
<r t="1016.73">and among those who do only a small fraction would be willing to pay for</r>
<r t="1023.02">an open source we do with the church reported created platforms</r>
<r t="1026.75">so i'm not gonna care about that much</r>
<r t="1029.66">and because frankly we've got enough on our plate already</r>
<r t="1034.5">but if someone offers</r>
<r t="1036.92">so you help or think to be to other platforms are even write a new</r>
<r t="1040.01">video editor based on to yes</r>
<r t="1042.67">you're welcome</r>
<r t="1046.53">do experienced users have a different requirements require regarding the multi platform thing i just</r>
<r t="1052.32">talked about well there's a slightly bigger proportion of then</r>
<r t="1056.29">that care about other platforms but still the vast majority does not care about other</r>
<r t="1061.05">platforms and the next</r>
<r t="1062.64">interesting</r>
<r t="1065.49">and now what do people in general want the most out of an open sort</r>
<r t="1069.76">we do it or</r>
<r t="1071.88">surprise people want basic shape to work first and foremost</r>
<r t="1079.07">and</r>
<r t="1080.21">no one cares about collaborative editing actually</r>
<r t="1084.28">well at least until you've got everything else nailed down</r>
<r t="1088.14">and people didn't believe me when i said that two years ago</r>
<r t="1091.5">well let me say this now i told you still</r>
<r t="1096.38">but i can this is for the entire sample</r>
<r t="1098.97">what if we limit ourselves to a subset that sample let's check what happens if</r>
<r t="1103.39">you take only those we evaluate their skill level to seven or more on a</r>
<r t="1107.22">scale of one to ten</r>
<r t="1110.35">interesting enough</r>
<r t="1112.59">the number one feature is still simplicity and stability</r>
<r t="1116.65">and then comes proxy editing anti free mobile effects properties</r>
<r t="1120.62">suddenly to becomes pretty much just as important as stability</r>
<r t="1126.51">and then really simply to number one feature that instead of stability</r>
<r t="1131.04">all the other features suddenly become a little bit more important</r>
<r t="1135.92">so the take away is that pros want everything and we want all the rock</r>
<r t="1141.06">solid no big surprise</r>
<r t="1144.43">but it does confirm the order of priorities that i didn't suspecting for years</r>
<r t="1151.27">and it validates the features that i'd be in prioritising in the upcoming to be</r>
<r t="1155.86">released</r>
<r t="1157.54">the good news is that much of it also has implemented the key frame able</r>
<r t="1161.92">effect properties recently and that and some of that is a thing is laid the</r>
<r t="1166.6">groundwork for proxy that thing and then so is that it is actually working towards</r>
<r t="1171.62">these slow and fast motion feature</r>
<r t="1175.22">so</r>
<r t="1176.84">we're on our way</r>
<r t="1180.95">be people one quality and stability</r>
<r t="1184.54">and in one of the top users and wanted for free and they want to</r>
<r t="1188.79">know well we knew that</r>
<r t="1193.23">it confirms what we suspected features are nice when stuff works</r>
<r t="1200.01">historically we have a quality and reliability problem including being sure</r>
<r t="1205.47">see those that nice reading we got among which is users</r>
<r t="1210.5">and there's so much that can go wrong in a nonlinear but you know to</r>
<r t="1214.14">meet a pipeline that</r>
<r t="1216.11">below the surface of the you why</r>
<r t="1218.83">we have to address that some</r>
<r t="1222.48">stability is far</r>
<r t="1224.79">stability with a mind boggling complex underlying a non linear fitting application is even harder</r>
<r t="1231.98">it's time for quality so let's try so that's that</r>
<r t="1238.79">they with been thinking about various things</r>
<r t="1241.89">that we might need to do this might be one of the</r>
<r t="1245.76">actually we probably won't field in on in the traditional sense</r>
<r t="1250.35">we're hoping to do some phrases have you respect me around</r>
<r t="1253.61">and we're entertaining the idea of merging it with gas or merging it into that</r>
<r t="1258.93">system or basic workings</r>
<r t="1260.77">and the argument for remote merging it into this same because it's re as yes</r>
<r t="1265.17">is that would make it easier to harmonise releases</r>
<r t="1269.2">the argument for merging to non in into the G C plug-ins space is that</r>
<r t="1275.43">welding on is an elements not library like D S and S</r>
<r t="1280.2">well</r>
<r t="1281.51">dft plug-ins basis meant to have elements of all types including to do with the</r>
<r t="1285.52">use cases</r>
<r t="1287.13">so you are the big advantage of putting on this debate is a would be</r>
<r t="1291.55">under the responsibility of those guys the commentators and that would be better tested i</r>
<r t="1298.05">hope which is certainly an interesting prospect</r>
<r t="1302.02">so if you're curious about things we brainstorm the little bit you can see about</r>
<r t="1307.08">number know about seven hundred one two the two eight seven for details</r>
<r t="1316.25">but this thing</r>
<r t="1319.09">test all the things</r>
<r t="1322.79">we recently started experimenting with and automating</r>
<r t="1327.15">automated test server for everything for P T V N G S N G stream</r>
<r t="1332.72">originally and everything so everything it runs pretty much on every time someone come it's</r>
<r t="1339.72">something in G stream or</r>
<r t="1341.51">which is quite often</r>
<r t="1343.65">and it's allows us to spot regressions and know where they come from instead of</r>
<r t="1349.02">just spending two days trying to track down wanting is in everything broken why is</r>
<r t="1354.57">the my quicktime file not seeking anymore or something like that</r>
<r t="1359.69">it's much easier with that at least i've been told</r>
<r t="1365.6">the interface is and french sorry about that but that it's a difference conspiracy</r>
<r t="1372.57">and the other things you can do</r>
<r t="1376.43">well we also have these don't tell tests to just you want</r>
<r t="1381.63">automatically so right now we have the most common to be like scenarios that as</r>
<r t="1386.36">well as some corner cases known to figure bug like try to split a hundred</r>
<r t="1390.83">times it and also makes it very easy to write you access you just tell</r>
<r t="1396.36">a sequence of things to do you like click this button and then search for</r>
<r t="1401.18">the existence of this you why elements with this label or something</r>
<r t="1404.39">and it's actually really good way if you're looking to get involved in project in</r>
<r t="1408.42">the quality</r>
<r t="1409.57">i if you know some of the corner cases or</r>
<r t="1412.48">some of the things that are annoying to test and to reproduce bugs</r>
<r t="1416.49">come right to test for first test for your issues</r>
<r t="1421.42">systematically so that we keep working</r>
<r t="1424.47">well</r>
<r t="1426.79">so</r>
<r t="1427.76">stability is paramount</r>
<r t="1430.04">but people including me expect to have you know all some exciting stuff to make</r>
<r t="1436.19">complex sitting possible</r>
<r t="1439.07">so let's take a look at some of this exciting stuff from the last few</r>
<r t="1442.81">weeks</r>
<r t="1445.44">we killed good and that's</r>
<r t="1448.01">this is thanks to matt suitable sell you be factored and for to our time</r>
<r t="1454.23">like to clutter</r>
<r t="1455.65">in two weeks</r>
<r t="1457.12">see so if you don't that just before this summer of codes project started this</r>
<r t="1462.65">year</r>
<r t="1463.52">just to show how much of about that is</r>
<r t="1468.46">and</r>
<r t="1470.94">and the all this is another awesome</r>
<r t="1476.04">you can finally animated properties of your effects</r>
<r t="1480.09">so let's take a moment to marvel at how also places</r>
<r t="1484.16">here on my old let since there are key frame curve for this clip and</r>
<r t="1489.17">i can click on the key printer and miss the target but i can click</r>
<r t="1492.76">again and moving some T from upwards to nine controlling the saturation</r>
<r t="1498.76">and</r>
<r t="1500.26">this will change the amount of like how popping the colours are and it fits</r>
<r t="1505.57">so well way too much and</r>
<r t="1513.91">you'll be able to see the institute and result soon</r>
<r t="1517.38">so it goes from black and white to full colour</r>
<r t="1520.74">and black to back to black and white so you can animate here stuff now</r>
<r t="1525.85">which is super importance for crazies like me</r>
<r t="1534.19">pretty cool</r>
<r t="1536.95">speaking about that see</r>
<r t="1557.38">matters some real good project can be summarised in two words</r>
<r t="1561.55">fix</r>
<r t="1562.52">everything</r>
<r t="1564.73">so this goal is to fix bugs all atrocities from is that so that we</r>
<r t="1568.36">can actually really something without causing protests and riots in the streets</r>
<r t="1574.74">and so since the beginning of this do you some project from what i can</r>
<r t="1578.3">see from long but see that he's been involved in something over forty bugs in</r>
<r t="1583.2">G stream or</r>
<r t="1584.82">and</r>
<r t="1586.18">well we have a lot of the</r>
<r t="1588.27">nice stuff coming up we services</r>
<r t="1592.19">project for the some of code is quite different than matthew</r>
<r t="1597.78">i</r>
<r t="1601.04">which is basically you can be we are the clip</r>
<r t="1614.74">so that's example of one but roads are is will be ready finishes</r>
<r t="1633.63">no pressure</r>
<r t="1640.54">so regarding motion renting i have some thoughts on how to make an easy to</r>
<r t="1644.59">use you why for it and would like to discuss that with the advanced filmmakers</r>
<r t="1649.89">in the room us with your we do anything and this these can talk to</r>
<r t="1654.15">me interest about this</r>
<r t="1656.01">okay</r>
<r t="1658.1">other stuff when rendering we actually cast use humour pipeline errors now and we show</r>
<r t="1663.11">them to you instead of just randomly freezing up without saying anything</r>
<r t="1667.89">i think a</r>
<r t="1670.74">is a feature that about</r>
<r t="1673.23">and we have a nice with high resolution logo i can to which is always</r>
<r t="1677.37">nice and we also have new icons for the buttons on the in the you</r>
<r t="1681.66">like the timeline which is our pixel precise which is nice until you're running how</r>
<r t="1686.25">you guys we know</r>
<r t="1689.47">i'm also working on a more than fully responsive website design for P T V</r>
<r t="1693.13">which i will publish continue please comes out any day now</r>
<r t="1698.16">and i should hold of other stuff the stuff i mention here is</r>
<r t="1703.08">just what has happened in the last few weeks</r>
<r t="1706.28">the list of improvements is why that last year is really don't i'm not sure</r>
<r t="1712.02">i would have time to cover here</r>
<r t="1714.04">actually been working on it for the lot</r>
<r t="1717.32">well</r>
<r t="1718.61">i've been working on my talk for the last few weeks but</r>
<r t="1721.85">did still didn't have enough time to prepare for it today</r>
<r t="1726.78">and there's too many interesting people in glottic so this is annoying</r>
<r t="1732.38">so anyway you're curious you can take a look at or blog posts</r>
<r t="1736.06">and you have a nice very nice summary of the improvements</r>
<r t="1740.34">since last year</r>
<r t="1742.04">so for now simply invite you to join us and share the software we've got</r>
<r t="1747.71">a great technology got nice contributors and mentors very find friendly i see channel</r>
<r t="1754.34">call these will architect the that you want is separate from the core we have</r>
<r t="1758.21">a long project is three and we have a lot of experience</r>
<r t="1762.44">don't make the mistake of reinventing the wheel like countless others well unless you reinvent</r>
<r t="1767.4">the wheel using G S that's okay</r>
<r t="1771.47">we have a three weeks merge policy which we try to follow as much as</r>
<r t="1775.58">possible so if you try to contribute something to be a pasture artwork or something</r>
<r t="1781.32">where at least gonna try to we're gonna review which and if possible marriage at</r>
<r t="1786.75">the main that one branch and there's plenty of other reasons why it's cool to</r>
<r t="1790.8">and it to be to be on the website</r>
<r t="1792.95">and we want to make this stuff using so we have an automated build report</r>
<r t="1798.09">so this stuff will check if you're disrespect is recent enough and will allow you</r>
<r t="1802.95">to build everything in one go so it's a pretty easy</r>
<r t="1807.07">to get started it to be hiking and it's also useful a starting point if</r>
<r t="1811.06">you're trying out development versions of thirty streamer without touching rest of system is actually</r>
<r t="1816.27">useful to also test some simple bugs like those quicktime files actually play or see</r>
<r t="1824.37">so as you can see there's many ways you can help us</r>
<r t="1830.3">even you can writing new specialised it using of vacations</r>
<r t="1835.2">that's helpful for example</r>
<r t="1838.21">do you guess could be used to create a give you answers based realised for</r>
<r t="1842.28">recording and processing talks at conferences such as glottic</r>
<r t="1846.59">i'd be happy to help with guidance a not by support that</r>
<r t="1850.79">so i wouldn't code because well there's just so many hours in a day but</r>
<r t="1854.99">to come and see us and will help you get started if you're interested in</r>
<r t="1858.15">subdirectories project</r>
<r t="1861.56">and if you want to do you want work what we have some stuff but</r>
<r t="1864.2">this is just an example please finish my title it for brunch i'm sick of</r>
<r t="1869.07">from i think this feature and there isn't much work left to do and it's</r>
<r t="1873.87">a fun project that so come see us if you're interested</r>
<r t="1877.43">is save lot see in the room</r>
<r t="1881.68">i'm looking at you</r>
<r t="1886.21">so we will be having a fact is the this week so not sure where</r>
<r t="1890.44">we will be located</r>
<r t="1892.3">maybe we'll just be in the auditorium or that's a lot of tables</r>
<r t="1896.39">or something will see we can check our google plus event based or might sort</r>
<r t="1901.19">of what i would there be for details</r>
<r t="1903.52">and that's pretty much it thanks for your attention</r>
<r t="1908.92">any questions</r>
<r t="1914.09">my killed them all</r>
<r t="1926.42">you use P T V on any of the was you were showing us</r>
<r t="1930.7">want to right</r>
<r t="1932.42">i use that you were showing inside</r>
<r t="1935.88">your presentation i cheated and then use at id marks or something else</r>
<r t="1940.61">just to cut the middle and the end because i didn't want to re encode</r>
<r t="1943.92">the videos or maybe i did you speak to be for one or two of</r>
<r t="1947.8">them i don't remember</r>
<r t="1950.5">but</r>
<r t="1951.56">i had to fight but id marks box</r>
<r t="1954.79">that's that</r>
<r t="1956.14">very frustrating when it crashes and you have to start over again and again</r>
<r t="1961.43">every we do it in supper socks in a different way</r>
<r t="1968.33">other questions</r>
<r t="1970.32">insults</r>
<r t="1972.57">rotten fruit</r>
<r t="1975.71">there's rotten fruit over there</r>
<r t="1983.14">so i'm sorry i'm is the beginning readable</r>
<r t="1985.52">down but i know that about the T what's your plan in</r>
<r t="1990.78">because there's gonna be a lot of issues of the me and it's really in</r>
<r t="1993.59">the end</r>
<r t="1994.74">as you already said</r>
<r t="1999.04">what plans you have to have as many tests as possible</r>
<r t="2003.46">in P T V would you yes</r>
<r t="2007.68">so that in the end us G stream of can</r>
<r t="2012.89">and something break speaking</r>
<r t="2016.55">i guess needing to find additional time to write those</r>
<r t="2023.33">did you see is that i was i missed the beginning so did you missed</r>
<r t="2026.74">the automated testing thing</r>
<r t="2028.91">the want was the dock no before that actually me remind for five no point</r>
<r t="2034.97">ultra melissa like</r>
<r t="2038.29">in this i think that so long and that has always that you have seen</r>
<r t="2045.71">this i think the menorah it was in my point i don't mean you know</r>
<r t="2049.66">to make you know driving spend well point of test</r>
<r t="2052.75">and how many are gonna do right saying and so forth there's another member of</r>
<r t="2056.26">the for instance there is over there wants to answer</r>
<r t="2061.97">i should check out the give actually we have</r>
<r t="2067.29">lot of do yes</r>
<r t="2070.52">of course with a plane pipelines stuff like that</r>
<r t="2082.82">basic pipeline with the you do mixing origin mixing or transition stuff like that we</r>
<r t="2088.25">just wondering which it but the</r>
<r t="2090.37">they wanted five is the is actually correct</r>
<r t="2093.16">and then the idea is to have a like verification with the human eye</r>
<r t="2099.64">we just check</r>
<r t="2101.02">usually it's right</r>
<r t="2102.92">points</r>
<r t="2104">we just take this easy to magically</r>
<r t="2107.15">like to be sure it's right just</r>
<r t="2110.64">my</r>
<r t="2123.6">no other questions</r>
<r t="2128.17">wow that's like process questions how will i think or is very well</r>
</data>
